Hi, my name is Melanie, and I'm glad you've stopped by! Of all the jobs I have had since I got my teaching degree, the most rewarding has been teaching my own three children. I long to see homeschool moms enjoy the journey and delight in their kids while doing it. Why a bicycle in my logo? Well, my daughter loves our daily bike rides together (and it's pushing me to get in shape!). It's a sweet time to chat with her and watch the amazing wildlife in our rural subdivision (yes, that's a thing!). Our daily rides in our hilly neighborhood remind me of this homeschooling life: there are stretches of flat road, tough climbs uphill where you sometimes even have to get off and push your bike, and then there are the exhilarating times of flying downhill with the wind in your hair. As a homeschooling mom, I want to ride beside you, encouraging you up the tough hills, chatting with you as we pedal along the days of mundane tasks, and cheering with you as we race downhill, thrilled with our children's successes. You'll experience it all, and I want to be here so you never give up!
